Introducing Arri Alexa
The new Arri Alexa Camera is now available at Alternative Rentals. We are proud to announce the delivery of Arri's latest marvel, the Alexa digital cinema camera. The Alexa is the evolution of Arri's 90-year commitment to building the highest quality cinema tools. With a measured dynamic range of 13.5 stops, the Alexa has the widest range of any digital camera in the industry. The native sensitivity of the Alexa is ISO 800, but the camera can be rated from ISO 200 -1600 while maintaining excellent signal to noise performance. The Alexa has a 3.5K CMOS imager yielding either a 2K or 1920 x 1080 HD image. The Alexa can record uncompressed ARRIRAW, Apple ProRes 444 or 422, HDCAM-SR, and other file based uncompressed and compressed formats.

On the Set of Kevin Smith's latest feature film "Red State".

Alternative Rentals was proud to have supplied David Klein, ASC with his Red One Mysteruim X camera packages. We were blown away with David Klein's stunning images and visual direction on this film. Yet another amazing collaboration between Kevin Smith and David Klein which is sure to leave audiences on the edge of their seats. Red State stars John Goodman, Kevin Pollak, Kyle Gallner, MIchael Angarano, Melissa Leo, and Stephen Root among other phenomenal actors.

Julio Macat, ASC (Cinematographer) and his team shot the Live Action opening for the Disney's upcoming film "Winnie The Pooh". Alternative Rentals is proud to have supplied Mr. Macat with his Arri Alexa camera package for this shoot.

See in the dark -- with T1.4 speed and a focus ring that illuminates when you need it. External lamps are no longer necessary for the focus puller to see in the dark because this new design incorporates a simple on/off and dimmer to adjust the level of illumination desired on the aperture ring. You now have the visability you need without affecting the light coming into the camera.
